Head Coach

Johanne Boivin

Johanne holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematical economics and a master’s degree in economics from Laval University.

She began her career in 2001 as an economist and held various positions in the Quebec parapublic sector as well as in the federal public service. She then made a return to diving coaching after an eight-year absence by accepting the position of head coach of the Gatineau diving club in 2010.

In August 2012, she joined the coaching team of the Rouge et Or diving club (which became ARO in 2015) where she notably contributed to the development of several young athletes until 2017.

After a stint as technical coordinator at Plongeon Québec, she returned to the field again as head coach of ARO Club de Plongeon de Québec in September 2020. Johanne is certified level III of the national coaching certification program (NCCP) and holds the advanced coaching diploma from the Institut national du sport du Québec (INS Québec).

In addition to her duties as head coach within the club, she is involved at the provincial level in several projects, notably as a trainer and evaluator of diving leaders and instructors and in the promotion and implementation of the diving program. introduction to diving Plouf! from Plongeon Quebec.

  • 1 athlete at the 2016 Canadian Senior Championships;

  • 1 athlete at the 2017 Canadian Senior Championships (including 1 finalist);
